Autism Diagnostic Assessment

We partner with a Speech Pathology service to provide the allied health component of autism diagnostic assessments for children aged 3-16 years. This assessment includes the below components: 

  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) Assessment
  • Caregiver diagnostic interview
  • Clinical observations of the child
  • Information gathering from school / day care
 

Please note that our diagnostic assessment only makes up a portion of a whole autism diagnostic assessment required to receive a diagnostic outcome. Your child will also need to be assessed by a Paediatrician or General Practitioner (GP), and a Clinical Psychologist or a Registered Psychologist. We can help guide you with where to go for these assessments if required.

Developmental Assessment

 

This assessment is suitable for children with developmental concerns aged 0-8 years old. It includes administration of two standardised assessment tools to identify how your child is tracking compared to similar-aged children.

Sensory Profile Assessment

 

This assessment will enable you to identify your child’s sensory preferences and will provide you with strategies to trial to support their sensory needs during their everyday tasks.

 

 

 

Functional Capacity Assessment

This comprehensive assessment provides in-depth information about your child’s level of independence and support needs. This assessment is recognised by the NDIS to support funding requests.
